I was so excited to photograph my little cousin Henry. He was only 6 days old here and such a good baby!

3rd of July
The boys and I spent July 3rd at Baldwin Park. We played games, ate yummy food, dressed Pokey as The Statue of Liberty and watched the fireworks.

Lightning
I love storms! I love the rain hitting the roof...I love the loud boom of thunder and most of all I love the awesome light show that comes from the infamous lightning storms we get here in Florida. Last night we had a spectacular lightning show, so I grabbed my camera and captured these awesome sights!

600 days
May 16th of this year marked the 600th day since my Mom's passing. This poem I wrote explains it all.....
600 days...of loneliness
600 days...of remembering your smell
600 days...of regret
600 days...of dreaming of the past
600 days...of a broken heart
600 days...of staring at your headstone
600 days...of endless tears
600 days...of not believing you are gone
600 days...of missing your voice
600 days...of needing your advice
600 days...of wishing for one more day
600 days...of wondering why
you
had
to
leave
so
soon.

The last class
Last night was my last photography class with the awesome homeless kids. My goal for these kids was to be able to teach them to see the world through the camera. I wanted them to see photography as more than just pushing a button on the camera. At the end of class last night, Bonnie asked the kids to share their favorite part of all of the classes. One very creative girl named Ashley shared that she was grateful for the opportunity we gave her to explore her artistic and creative side through photography. She said that she has only been taught that art includes drawing and paining. But she realized through these classes that photography is also a form of art. I am so happy these kids learned what I was hoping for! Here is the night documented by my talented son Ethan :)
Lost
In the past 2 days we have lost some very special things. And by lost, I don't mean misplaced...I mean lost forever...to a better place. Ethan's baby turtle named Lucky passed away on May 29th. Ethan named him Lucky after he and my Dad found him in my Dad's backyard. We knew he was very lucky to have not been picked up by a raccoon or other creature. Ethan loved that little turtle. He would sit with Lucky all the time and watch TV with him. Ethan has been very sad since he died. R.I.P Lucky
On May 30th, my littlest boy Isaac lost his first tooth (sniff sniff). He not only lost a tooth, but he lost a piece of his baby-hood. It's bitter sweet not having a tiny baby in the house and to see my boys growing up so fast. Here is Isaac moments after he lost his tooth...
This next picture makes me laugh. There was a document that my Grandma needed to sign so we gave her the paper and a pen. We all started talking and after a few minutes we realized my Grandma was still signing her name. We look over and she was fast asleep!

Also on May 30th, I lost my very special Grandma. I have lots of wonderful memories of her. She was probably one of the funniest people I have known. I am so glad I had the opportunity to visit her last year. Even though her mind wasn't with her, her sense of humor was. She had me laughing so hard, it was easy to forget how sick she was. The world lost a very funny and special person. We miss you a lot Grandma but we know that you are up above, making my Mom laugh.

My Favorites
I picked a few photographs from each kid from the photography class. We will get them printed really big, matt and frame them so we can show them off to the world!
