The last class

Last night was my last photography class with the awesome homeless kids.  My goal for these kids was to be able to teach them to see the world through the camera. I wanted them to see photography as more than just pushing a button on the camera. At the end of class last night, Bonnie asked the kids to share their favorite part of all of the classes. One very creative girl named Ashley shared that she was grateful for the opportunity we gave her to explore her artistic and creative side through photography. She said that she has only been taught that art includes drawing and paining.  But she realized through these classes that photography is also a form of art.  I am so happy these kids learned what I was hoping for!
